Cardinal Corner Newsletter - September 4, 2020

Dear Parents,

We’re off and running!  By the time you receive this first Cardinal Corner here, we will have twelve academic days completed before other schools have even begun their year!

Dismissal Notes: Since we have 30+ cars arriving on campus before 2:45 p.m., please be aware this is causing a traffic hazard at the light by State Route 125.  Families picking up in the L-Z lot (behind the gym) can utilize the cut-through entrance near the Marian Grotto to join the car line which forms in front of church (there is no left turn at this entrance).  We CANNOT BLOCK TRAFFIC on SR 125 coming onto our campus at the traffic light.  Please remember to place your sign so that it is visible on the passenger dash board or, even better, in the window on the passenger side so the family name can be clearly seen. As our arrival schedule becomes more normal, please remember that any students arriving after 8:00 a.m. must report to the office, as all doors will be locked, and your child will not have access to the classroom.

Please support our PTO by participating in Bengalmania this year.  Check out the Cardinal Corner for more information.

Our students have been diligent about wearing their masks and washing their hands.  Although we still have some things to work on, I am very happy with their compliance and cooperation.  It’s wonderful to see our students back at Mass during the week!  Although we cannot attend together as a school, classes are scheduled to attend on different days throughout the week.

Hats off to the superheroes of our school, our amazing teachers, who continue to go above and beyond in adapting to this new normal, including lunching in the classroom with students, giving up their work space as Specials instructors come in to teach, and finding a variety of spaces (indoors and out) to creatively enhance student learning.  Thanks to all of you for your dedication!

Wishing you a joyous, peaceful, and relaxing long weekend, as we celebrate Labor Day this Monday.  Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…” Colossians 3:23-24

Blessings,

Candy
