Rosary Essay Contest

Fourth graders in Mrs. Cathy Jaehnen’s classroom participated in a Rosary Essay Contest sponsored by The Ancient Order of Hibernians, which is America's oldest Irish-Catholic Fraternal Organization. The organization promotes the rosary, our Blessed Mother, and informs people about Irish-Catholic heritage. Mr. Patrick McCracken from the Order visited all our 4th graders in April to speak about his organization, the rosary,  and the contest.

Winners of the essay contest were announced on EWTN radio on June 3.  They are:

Olivia Simms, 1st Place; Samantha Bricker, 2nd place; and Bryce Fithen, 3rd place.

Congratulations to the contest winners!  They received a beautiful St. Patrick rosary, along with a medal or prayer booklet.  All students received a framed Divine Mercy print.  We are very proud of the quality of essays submitted by all our 4th grade students; they were both interesting and insightful.
