Many of us have been richly blessed and our faith calls us to share with others less fortunate.  Our first food drive will begin Monday, November 17, and run through Tuesday, November 25.  We will collect food and basic household items to fill Christmas baskets for needy military families in our area.  Most of the families are those of young veterans returning from Afghanistan; others are military families who have recently fallen on hard times.   The baskets will be filled by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 649 here in Clermont County, who will also distribute them to the families.  A local company will provide a ham for each family, so your food donations will be used to supplement those for a family Christmas dinner.  

 Items requested are:  Canned goods and non-perishable dry food; basic household items such as dish soap, paper towels, tissues, etc.; basic personal items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.  Please be as generous as you can, as these are families of military men and women who have served us well in serving our country.  Thank you and God bless you for your kindness.
