Cardinal Corner - August 31, 2018

Dear Parents,

This week's Cardinal Corner is attached.

We have our first full week of school under our belt, and it looks like everyone is settling in nicely.  Of course, we have the best kids and staff so why wouldn’t that happen?

We begin our Education in Virtue on Tuesday.  This is our new Catholic Virtue program in which we highlight a different virtue each month during Morning Prayer.  At least 2-3 times a week we will talk about the virtue, what it is, what it looks like when we live the virtue, and scripture passages that apply.  Our first virtue is affability – being easy to approach and easy to talk to – friendly.  Affability is one aspect of the Cardinal Virtue of Justice.  Thank you in advance for reinforcing this virtue at home.

Our magazine drive kickoff is this Tuesday, September 4.  Supporting this fundraiser will enable us to purchase more Chromebooks, STEM materials, and those additional items to enhance our classrooms.

Picture Day is Wednesday, September 5.  Students may be out of uniform that day but must be dressed appropriately for school (shorts, skirts, and dresses no shorter than 2” above the knee, no spaghetti straps, heels, boots, etc.)  All students will have their pictures taken for our yearbook.

Enjoy God’s beautiful creation with your families this long Labor Day weekend!

Blessings,

Candy
