Cardinal Corner - April 12, 2019

Dear Parents,

See the attached Cardinal Corner for the latest school happenings!

Our 8th graders are returning this afternoon from a great week in Washington!  We saw a lot of fascinating sights and learned much about our great nation.  We would like to thank the parent chaperons who joined us on this memorable trip, and hope they found it as enjoyable and interesting as our students did.

Be sure to see the flyer sent home this week about Blessing of the Baskets, which will take place on Holy Saturday, April 20, at noon in the church.  It is a cherished and meaningful Catholic tradition.

Please support our PTO Walk M.O.R.E., which will take place on Friday, May 3.  This is PTO’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and many volunteers are needed to make it a fun and successful event!  You should have received an email this afternoon with the link to your child’s pledge page; if you did not, please see the Cardinal Corner for instructions about how to access it.  Remember also to click the link in the email if you wish to volunteer or donate items for the event!

Lifetouch Spring Pictures are this Tuesday, April 16, from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 9:30 a.m.  Lifetouch is asking for one parent volunteer to assist the children/photographer (must be VIRTUS-trained).  They are offering a $35 gift card to be used for spring or fall photo purchases from Lifetouch.  Please the school office at 753-2540 if you can help.

Bring your family and meet your friends this evening at our last Boy Scout Fish Fry of this Lenten season.  There will be no Fish Fry on Good Friday, so don’t miss it tonight!

This Sunday is Palm Sunday already, and Holy Week begins Monday! It is the busiest week of the liturgical year!  During the coming week, may we follow along the steps of Jesus from Palm Sunday through His passion in order to prepare ourselves for the celebration of His resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Blessings,

Candy
