We are off to a great start this school year. Our top seven 8th grade math students are taking an advanced math class at McNicholas high school. That means that 29% of the 8th grade qualified for this class. Good luck guys!

Let's get started!

Hello!, very excited about the new school year.
More than ever, the focus will be on the learning, not the grade!
If we focus on the learning, the grade will take care of itself.

7th grade math

Congrats to the 7th grade for finishing in the top 85th percentile on their Iowa testing. The 6th grade fell just short of that number (they needed 246 points, and earned 244.2 points).

God is great!

Wow! I need to update my teacher page more often! Looking forward to the start of the 2015-16 school year.
New this year, I will be teaching two 7th grade science classes. I will continue to teach all the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math classes.

Hello, my name is John Grachek. I've been the junior high math teacher at STM for nine years. I have also taught in our PSR program for four years. I graduated from the University of Toledo in 1990 with a B.A. in Business. I completed my undergraduate course work in education at Northern Kentucky in 2008, and am ready to start their Masters program. The problem is, I would need to take a year off from teaching, and I just can't get myself to do that!

I have been an active member at our parish for fourteen years. I love my faith, and our parish. My goal is to get the students to operate at their full potential because we want to glorify God with our work and our effort.

I have an open door policy with my students. I am available for help before school and at recess almost everyday.
