Cardinal Corner - November 16, 2018

Dear Parents,

The latest Cardinal Corner is attached.

The word "Thanksgiving" is described in the dictionary as meaning the expression of gratitude, especially to God.  As many of us look forward to delicious food and time with family, let us not forget to be grateful to God for the many blessings in our lives.  Our second graders had their First Reconciliation this week, reminding us all that we are forgiven for our sins and loved by God even though we are sinners.  Special thanks to Mrs. Swarts and Mrs. Lockwood for their preparation for this important sacrament.

This is one busy weekend!  Tomorrow our 8th graders will take the HSPT test.  Also tomorrow, have a great time shopping our PTO Christmas Bazaar.  On Sunday, don’t forget to bring your family to the famous 8th Grade Pancake Breakfast!  Proceeds will help them fund their class trip to Washington, D.C.  This is also parish envelope pick up, so please drop by the Cardinal Café after any Mass this weekend to pick up your envelopes.

Today marks the end of our first trimester.  Report cards for grades 1-8 will be available online after Thanksgiving.  We will send an email with directions on how to access them on your Gradelink account when they are finalized.  Remember that next week is a short week, with no school November 21-23.  Safe travels to those of you who are heading out of town.  We wish all of our families a blessed and thank-filled Thanksgiving.

Blessings,

Candy
