Cardinal Corner - December 8, 2017

Dear Parents,

The latest Cardinal Corner is attached.

From now until Christmas break, we will be collecting plastic grocery bags and any old prescription/over-the-counter medicine bottles for Matthew 25 Ministries.  Matthew 25 weaves/crochets the plastic bags into mats and floor covering for the homeless.  They send the medicine bottles to third world countries to help doctors dispense medications.  The medicine bottles should be clean with all labels removed.

Don’t forget our Christmas Program this coming Wednesday at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm in the church. Grades K-3 will be performing traditional Christmas songs with some audience sing-alongs.  It will be a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!

Next week we will practice another one of our safety drills where an intruder is in the building.  We will be practicing barricading the classroom doors to keep an intruder out.  Please talk to your children, especially the younger ones, so that they understand they are not in any danger, but we just want to keep them safe.  Unfortunately, the world we live in dictates that we must practice these drills.  I will let you know the day we practice.

My prayer for you during this holy season of Advent is that we are grateful for simple words of hope and the gift of new life in the Christ Child.

Blessings,

Candy
