Junior Rockets for Life member Alena Barton competed at the 2017 Ohio Right to Life Pro-Life Oratory Contest at the Tree of Life Christian Schools Ministry Center in Columbus on Saturday, April 29. Alena's speech discussed the topic of abortion and her touching personal story of adoption. Alena was the first student from Archbishop McNicholas High School to participate in the pro-life contest. Alena was one of 9 student contestants from the State of Ohio. The Ohio Right to Life Oratory Contest strives to give pro-life junior and senior high school students the opportunity to organize and express their pro-life views as well as meet other pro-life teens. Each year pro-life youth compete for a spot in the National Right to Life Competition. We are very proud of Alena for living out her pro-life values and being a courageous voice for the voiceless.
